Commitment to Diversity Equity Inclusion

Company efforts to address social determinants of health (SDOH) that improve health outcomes for vulnerable and underserved populations support the company’s broad-ranging commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Because 80% of health issues are related to SDOH, clinical and social care providers may feel powerless to solve them alone. NinePatch software solutions facilitate these discussions.

Clinical and social providers who may not speak the same language but who have similar goals find common ground with NinePatch software solutions.

Each day we encounter people in communities who experience health disparities and inequitable treatment. The NinePatch story and why we do what we do reinforces the company’s commitment to bringing together diverse groups.

We work together seamlessly— internally and externally— to make a difference in the lives of others.

Life is Multi-Dimensional

As an organization, we strive to employ the best-suited professionals to join our team, irrespective of age, race, national origin, gender identity, or sexual orientation.

Fifty-five percent (55%) of corporate staff comprises ethnically diverse professionals.

The company recognizes intersectionality as a component of DE&I. Similar to social determinants of health having a far-reaching impact on health, intersectionality takes into account how multiple facets of life affect individuals in the workplace.

Forty-five percent (45%) of corporate staff are women in a woman-led company.

Our software solutions witness our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Healthcare data interoperability should not be a barrier to individual health or well-being.

Patients and clients should be involved in decisions that directly impact them. They should not be burdened by repeating stories or providing repetitive documentation to multiple providers. Electronic data sharing solves roadblocks to achieving health equity and ensuring individual rights to self-determination.

We hold the same beliefs about decision-making, involvement, and impact on employees. NinePatch is a company of determined, diverse, inclusive, and enthusiastic individuals committed to making a difference in the lives of others.

The NinePatch team holds shared goals and values. Diverse voices, perspectives, and a wide range of experiences elevate our work.

The company strives to create a positive work environment and varied experiences that encourage a sense of belonging and accomplishment by focusing on shared values. The NinePatch story recognizes that everyone has authentic and unforgettable narratives that shape their lives.

Collaborative Efforts Impact Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

We are mindful of our actions’ impact on future generations. Doing good for society is part of the company’s mission around social determinants of health. We seek to improve whole person health and well-being locally, nationally, and worldwide.

Collaboration with organizations is a priority to deliver solutions that reflect the needs of our customers. Each community has needs framed by its partner, customer, client, and vendor relationships.

Approaching diversity, equity, and inclusion outside of our organization includes cross-channel cooperation and collaboration with clinical and social organizations. These efforts include building relationships with companies in similar channels for the betterment of society.

We don’t believe in a “one size fits all” mentality. Instead, acknowledging differences in our clients’ needs means configuring software solutions for general application use. Requests for other configurations are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

We support and encourage success as defined by our customers and participate in shared decision-making processes to reach our full potential.

Partnerships and Diversity Initiatives

Our approach to partner and vendor relationships is similar. The experience and diversity of our vendors allow NinePatch to be efficient, effective, and flexible in ever-changing market situations.

We work with local communities to address challenges of poverty, housing instability, employment, education, transportation, disaster relief, trauma, and ever-changing concerns. These issues, the form the foundation of social determinants of health, affect everyone.

Language, Health Literacy, and Accessibility

We have a preferred language framework that governs client communications around consent forms, assessments, service requests, care team invitations, and daily operations.

Currently, materials in Spanish are available. Efforts continue to prioritize language needs. A combination of translation software and human editing ensures proper messaging and an appropriate literacy level.

Website Accessibility

The NinePatch website meets WCAG 2.1 and ADA Title II Compliance standards. We have an inclusive culture that supports diversity, equity, and inclusion for persons with visible or invisible disabilities who may feel excluded from Internet use.

The site offers accommodations for vision impairment, cognitive disability, ADHD, blind, seizure, screen reader, and keyboard navigation. At NinePatch, we believe everyone has a voice and are committed to making NinePatch.com accessible for all users.

Delivering solutions that reflect the needs of clients and local communities supports our commitment to doing the right thing. We welcome outside feedback and support so that our efforts create lasting change for the people and communities we serve.
