Mariposa County Health and Human Services Agency Announces a Community Information Exchange

Mariposa, CA and Knoxville, TN, USA  – May 11, 2023. Mariposa County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) is excited to collaborate with NinePatch, Inc. to create a Community Information Exchange (CIE).

This partnership will help Health and Human Services, as well as their partners, support a healthy, safe, and thriving Mariposa County. The implementation of the CIE will be a cooperative effort between Mariposa County HHSA, NinePatch, and various community partners.

Mariposa County System of Care

“Establishing connections between County services and community organizations is vital for Mariposa County. We are excited to be implementing a technology that supports our System of Care approach to better serve our community,” says Joe Lynch, Director of Mariposa County Health and Human Services. “The CIE will make it easier for HHSA and their partners to coordinate care, streamline communications, and share information to close the loop of health and social referrals more efficiently.”

As a rural community in California, Mariposa County spans 1,463 square miles, with 18,000 residents, and serves over 5 million visitors each year. Community size, distance from services, and limited access to the internet all pose challenges in accessing care. Establishing the CIE will help HHSA and its partners bridge these gaps and provide improved services to their community. The CIE launch is scheduled for late second-quarter 2023.

Residents and Visitors Benefit from Local Service Provider Coordination

NinePatch, Inc. CEO and President, Leigh Sterling-Gooden shares, “We are excited to support the partnership with Mariposa County HHSA and their community partners to support residents and visitors in this scenic community in Central California. Creating a system for data exchange will allow greater efficiencies for access to health, emergency, and social care.”

Residents will benefit from community partnerships between health, human, behavioral health, and social service providers for daily support, disaster, or trauma services.

NinePatch is a technology company offering a care coordination and referral platform for health-related social needs and social determinants of health (SDOH) circumstances. The SDOH software is an easy-to-use, award-winning, intuitive application offering cross sector interoperability, robust identity and consent management, screening forms, closed loop referrals, and time saving workflows.
